Peacefully on January 24, 2012 in his 86th year surrounded by all his family, at North York General Hospital after a sudden illness. Beloved husband of the late Joan Marguerite. Loving father of Anne (Wayne Scanlan) of Ottawa, John, Sylvia (Michael Simon) of London, Elaine (John Maclagan), Ruth (Mark Cvar) of Mount Royal, QC and Andrew. Adored and caring grandfather of Eric, Laura, Sarah, Matthew, Mark, David, Elizabeth, Connor, Liam, Anna and Leah. Friends may call on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Grove United Church (43 Forest Grove Drive).
