Arthur Glashan

GLASHAN, Arthur Allan-Passed away peacefully in his 93rd year on Friday, July 11, 2003. Arthur was a pioneer in English Catholic Education in the Province of Quebec, accumulating 50 years in the field. He began his teaching career at St. Anne's Elementary School in Montreal and ended it as a professor at Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec. Arthur was an accomplished athlete who played and coached football, baseball and hockey. He was the beloved husband of the late Veronica (nee Doyle) and loving father of Barbara Sheridan, Patrick and his wife Patricia, and Elizabeth Bouchard and her husband Ray. He will be missed by his grandchildren Patrick and Paul (Barbara), David, Andrew, and Elizabeth (Patrick), Sean, Katie, Daniel, and Mary (Elizabeth) and by his two great-grandchildren Shane and Aiden (Barbara), and by his many nephews, nieces and friends. Dear brother of George and predeceased by Keith, Robert, Allan and Mildred. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Monday, July 14, fro 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Church Of The Good Shepherd (21 Simonston Blvd., Thornhill) on Tuesday, July 15 at 11 am. Interment will be at the Cote Des Neiges Cemetery, Montreal at a later date.
