I was very sorry to learn of the passing of Betty Crossley. While I did not know Betty personally, I know that she was a great friend of our organization, CODE, and the children we work with in Africa and the Caribbean. I also know that her time as a faithful volunteer at CODE and that of Kel (a former CODE Board member) did much to improve the lives of a great many people both in Canada and overseas. Dear Kelly and family I was very sad to hear of your mother's passing. I have fond memories of our childhood on Kamla Drive and your mother's care for all the children in the area. I know what you must be going through, with my mother passing away 7 years ago and pray for you and your family during this difficult time. May we all take comfort in the fact that she is now in heaven and rejoicing with the angels. I have wanted to stop by and visit your parents, since they live in the same area of Toronto as my brother in law, but time never permitted. It was with great sadness that we learned of Betty's death.She was a faithful member of our organization and will be missed by her friends and colleagues. Our sincere condolences go out to her family upon this sad occasion.

As the oldest member of my family I have been lucky to have had Aunt Betty in my life for almost sixty years.She has offered unconditional love and support as well as lots of great advice. Aunt Betty will also be missed by many of my friends who spent time in her home and were exposed to the wonders of the "big city" and her great cooking! My current friends are envious when I talk to them this week of the role my Aunt played in our family-it speaks volumes that my young adult children and husband have been saddened by her death.I could write volumes but really just want Uncle Kel and family to know how grateful I am that they were so open to sharing the life and love of Aunt Betty with us for all these years.
