Passed away at Baycrest Hospital after a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Hazel (nee Hodkinson) of 53 years. Loving father of Heather and Gordon. Dear brother of Eileen Hern. Lovingly remembered by his nephew Doug Hern and wife Pat, and their children Breanna and Allan. Bruce was a retired teacher with the North York Board of Education. He had a great passion for old cars and was a member of HASC. He also had a love of music, and played the banjo with the Toronto Banjo Band, the Invictones, and the Westenders. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the RS Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding south of Steeles) on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2-3pm. Memorial service in the chapel at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Cummer Avenue United Church or Baycrest Hospital would be appreciated. Condolences www.rskane.ca
