Carole R. Russell

Passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2016 at North York General Hospital at the age of 82. Dearly beloved wife and best friend of the late Douglas Russell. Wonderful Mom to Linda (Ross Price), Donna (Craig Defries) and Glenn (Sherrie). She will be greatly missed by her eight grandchildren Steven (Ivy), Lindsay (Chris), Hayley (Thomas), Brittany, Alex, Charlotte, Aislinn, Arielle and great-grandchildren Willa and Jacob, who all brought her tremendous pride and joy. Born and married in Montreal, Carole and Doug raised their children on the West Island. With her family, she enjoyed a life filled with summer weekends in Vermont and winter vacations in Florida. After moving to Ontario in 1980, she was happiest sharing fun times with family and friends. Carole enjoyed painting, entertaining and travelling to faraway places. With her warmth and sincerity, she made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation.
