Suddenly on Wednesday August 16th, 2006 in her 86th year, Catherine died at home with her family present. Predeceased by her beloved husband Donald (1989). Loving mother of David and his wife Cheryl, Greg and Donald. Cherished grandmother of Jillian and Steven. "Babe" was predeceased by her sisters Marjorie, Freda and Peggy. Relocated from her beloved P.E.I. to Toronto in 1947, but always had the Island in her heart, celebrating yearly with her Island friends. Visitation on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday August 19th at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
