Born in Toronto on December 9, 1920, Charles passed away on Monday December 2, 2013 at Gibson Long Term Care at the age of 92. Predeceased by his loving wife Katharine Elizabeth (Bette), he is lovingly remembered by his immediate family. He will also be remembered for his work with the Big Brothers, mentoring many fledgling hockey players, his enduring affection for his Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue jays. He enjoyed morning coffee at the Plaza with his friends and his bowling league where he often was high scorer. He was known to take frequent, long neighbourhood walks. 12 - 1 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). The funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice .
