Sadly my Mom, Claire passed-away at approx 6:00 am on Friday 29 July. She was at her senior residence the Woodhaven, in Markham, Ontario in her room at the time. She passed peacefully shortly after awakening in the morning, while still in her bed.
For those of you who didn't know her personally, she was 84, the youngest of six children all of whom have pre-deceased her. She is
Grand-Mother to my children Arnold, Nicole and Erika and Frank their partners; Aunt to many of you my dear cousins and "Auntie" to many many more of my friends.
Though I am very saddened to lose her, in her latter days she suffered the complications of heart and kidney failure, with diabetes and the challenges of Alzeimers. And so I am consoled that she is now at peace and at rest. For those of us who knew her personally, may I suggest that you remember her as a vibrant, fun-loving, hard-working, loving, supportive and strong woman.
