We are deeply saddened to have lost Daniel. We had the pleasure of knowing Daniel through his friendship with our son Steven. On many occasions, Daniel visited our house and sometimes even slept over. We are glad to have had the opportunity to have him in our lives and will always treasure him in our hearts. Dear Stan, Marisa, Marco and Andrea, Daniel had so much passion for life. He is Phil's oldest and best friend. Right from JK, they were a two-some that "made things happen". Their youth, their teamwork and their crazy wild hair-brained schemes....always terrifying to us parents but always making memories that last forever. I'll never forget the voice mail that Daniel left at our house when he was just 6. We had gone on our regular family vacation to the cottage and I guess (being young) Phil forgot to tell Daniel that he would be gone. Daniel was just furious that Phil was not available and had just 'disappeared' for 2 week. And that is Daniel! Another time - a couple of years ago - Daniel and Phil were swimming in our pool - just spending the whole afternoon together and having a great time - great buddies! And the poker nights all started up when the NHL went on strike - right down to the automatic card shuffler. All these memories, all these great times! It reminds me of the song: We're here for a good time Not a long time So have a good time The sun can't shine every day No one could replace Daniel in our lives.
