Born Ballymena, Northern Ireland, December 11, 1920 passed away suddenly on Monday July 4, 2011 at York Central Hospital. Survived by his loving wife Margaret Elizabeth (nee Evans), father of Sharon Peters and Kim Heard (Steven), grandfather of Tiffany Heard Torrens (Jason), Seanna Higgins (Kevin), Melissa, Bonnie Guy (Weldon) and Maryanne. Great-grandfather of Logan, Teigan, Evie, Ranijah, Aila and the late Karma. Brother of the late Molly Hunter (Thomas) and brother in law of Charles R Evans (Noreen) and the late William Evans (Judith) and families. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Ireland and Eithne and John Lant and their daughter Siobhan. Friends may call on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 10-11 a.m with a Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. at Thornhill Presbyterian Church (271 Centre Street). Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Thornhill Presbyterian Church.
