On October 4, 2011 at Sunnybrook Hospital while surrounded by family and friends. Will be greatly missed by his wife Edith and his children Leah (Jed), Michelle (Cory Grattan), Jessica (Luigi Pompili), and Caroline. Grandfather to Cooper, Evan, and Claire. Desmond will be remembered by his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and extended family. Friends may call on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles).
