Diana Nancy Busato

It is with absolute heartbreak that we announce the passing of Diana Nancy Busato. Diana peacefully entered her promised eternal life in the early hours of Sunday, February 27th, 2022. Dearest daughter to Giulio (d) and Aurora, adored sister to Anita (d), Loretta and Luisa (Pierre), and beloved aunt to Lisa (Tony), Marc (Samaneh) and Stephanie (Daniel). She will be forever remembered by her great-nephews and nieces, and cherished by countless friends who had the privilege to know her.

Diana was born on July 3rd, 1960 in Toronto, Ontario. She began her career in finance, yet after the passing of her eldest sister Anita she recognized an inner sense of unfulfillment. Transitioning to education and becoming an elementary school teacher as a second career, allowed for her to find her true sense of self, by taking care of her students and even those students’ parents. Diana was always available to help others by showing kindness, compassion and patience. She surrounded herself with those who could rely on her, and in turn she could rely on. Her strength was truly remarkable, and her positivity and smile was a shining light, especially near the end.

Yet Diana loved nothing more than travelling with her niece Stephanie to Arizona, Florida, Europe and East Coast Canada. She lived by the motto: every day may not be a good day, but there is good in every day (a quote that a student wrote for her in a letter that she never forgot). She will be missed by anyone who took the time to know her.
