Don was an avid birder and an accomplished wood carver. A gift of one of his carvings was something to be treasured.
Don was a kind man who always put other people's needs before his own. He was blessed to have so many wonderful friends touch his life.
At his request there will be no service or visitation. His wish was to have his friends and family gather to celebrate his life and to raise a glass in his memory.
Don's ashes will be interred in a private ceremony at Aurora Cemetery. A Celebration of Don's life will be held within the next few weeks. Details will be posted here once they have been confirmed.
He was a man who always gave back. We request that donations be made to the Friends of Algonquin Park, The Owl Foundation or Thickson Woods in his honour.
