BURKE, Dorothy Margaret (nee Baird)-Peacefully at York Central Hospital, in her 89th year, on the morning of Friday, May 23rd, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert Carrington Burke. Survived by her children Peter, Cathy, Wendy, Robert and four grandchildren, Robert, Elizabeth and Caleigh Burke and Lysa St. Onge. Dorothy fondly recalls her career as a Registred Nurse before joining the fledgeling Trans Canada Airlines as a stewardess then devoting her life to her family. Her grace, dignity and gentle wit touched all who knew her. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) from Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Service in the Chapel Monday at 1 pm. Interment Thornhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
