Hey MacDonald family! I don't know why, but I have been thinking of all of you recently. I have very fond memories growing up behind you. I enjoyed making extra cash going to Duncan's workplace and "working", mostly fooling around. Duncan (and fam) always took care of me. Like taking me to the hospital (when I gashed my hand at "work"), camping, ice capades, going out for an ice cream, driving me back to Emery to pull my shoe out of the mud. After thinking about all these things, he really was like a dad to me. Sorry to hear about Duncan's passing and the grief you all must be feeling. Just know, your neighbour from the past is thinking of you all. My deepest sympathies...

Duncan is a sweet man, kind and gentle soul, always smiling, with a magnetic personality. I worked with him at Ecolab , and he was like a father figure, mentoring a group of us, all recent immigrants from Jamaica. Duncan was always available to anyone who needed his help or advice. Sadly we found out about his passing on June 18th 2022; and we were all planning to attend his service, only to discover that  it had already taken place. Kyle, Michelle and the rest of the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My sincere sympathy to you all on the loss of your wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend, Duncan. Duncan will be greatly missed by you all. I remember being in Judique visiting Betty and Julieanne and you folks drove all the way from Toronto to come home to visit with your families. The last time that I saw Duncan was when we were in Calgary for Clayton and Shannon's wedding in 2006!
May all the very wonderful memories that you all have of Duncan, help you all in the difficult days ahead.

Dear Marie and Family - I am sending you my sincere condolences on the death of your husband and father, Duncan.  Our family has so many wonderful memories of yours.  Duncan and Marie were always the essence of kindness to everyone.  They loved us for who we are and supported us in so many ways.  Duncan is a great loss for all of us, so much family knowledge goes with him.  I am certain that Duncan will meet Wayne, Myrtle , Duncan Rory and Alec waiting for him in God's heaven.

Mr. McDonald was the one who would flood the ice for all of us to skate on in the community I will always remember and be grateful and thank him for his dedication to the little children in the community

it’s been a few years that I have  seen Duncan but the memories of will last a lifetime.we had some beautiful trips down east with him and I can always remember Duncan being a wonderful father, husband, to Marie. My heart almost burst when i read Duncan's  obituary so touching especially the mentioning of his mother lost so tragically.  What a reunion in Heaven!

Although i didn't watch the baseball games i would hear it in the background and every time i heard "swing and a miss" i thought of Duncan so i  thought of him often.  What an honourable man!

Dear Marie and Family:  I was sorry to hear of Duncan's passing.  If I remember correctly, he was related to your Uncle Joe's wife Irma. It has been a long time since I have seen you.  We moved back to Judique in 2005.  My sincere sympathy.  Edith MacLellan 

Every time I saw Uncle Duncan he had a smile on his face. His laughter and voice will always be remembered. As my dad’s older brother, I always saw the deep family resemblance in them. “Junior” was a strong man, a strong presence, and a man who lives on in his children, always.
