Mom passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 91 years. Loving wife of the late Robert Clive. Mother, mentor and hero to her children Merla Russell, Lloyd Clive, Nancy Samuell, and Barbara Clive. Good friend to daughter-in-law Kathy Clive, and sons-in-law Brian Samuell, Glen Russell and Richard Bramwell and to Carl Baron. Loving grandmother to Robert (Tammy), Meredith (Shawn), Averil (Andrew), Lauren (Ryan), Neville (Michelle), Lloyd, Kaitlin, Melissa and Christine and very loving great grandmother to Leeland,Tiga, Brody, Shawna, Ryan and Mattison. She will be missed by her friends on the Thornhill Golf Club links and her good friends at Newtonbrook United Church and her bridge group. Mom was born in Grand-Mere Quebec and is a graduate of the Royal Victoria School of Nursing 1943. She is proud to have worked at the Montreal Neurological Institute with the neurological pioneers Drs Penfield, Selye and Cohen. Mom loved her work as an industrial nurse for Dominion Stores in Weston from 1964 to 1983. She will miss the wonderful times spent with family and friends on the dock in Haliburton. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Leisureworld in Streetsville for their compassionate care. A ceremony to celebrate the life of Elizabeth Clive will take place at Newtonbrook United Church, 53 Cummer Ave in North York at 2 pm Saturday, March 24. A private interment will take place at 10 am March 24 at Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst St. Toronto. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Hospital for Sick Children or Newtonbrook United Church.
