Together, we mourn, the departure of an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, and believer after a long and extraordinary life lived in five countries, on three continents, touched by two world wars, leaving behind a legacy built on love and carried forward by her four children, Kulla, Raul, Silvia and Lena, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
We know how many lives she touched in friendship, in quiet service to the church, in her music, translations, compositions, and endless love for family, extended family, church family, and most of all, her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Although Ella’s final days were difficult, she was still teaching us about perseverance, faith and courage. We honour and cherish her even more in the light of such grace and we thank God for His watchful and perfect care, up to her last moment.
So many of Ella’s family and friends have preceded her to heaven; her husband Rein, her six sisters, and countless friends and relations. What consoles us is our belief that the tears for her loss here are being greatly outmatched by joy, celebration and reunion ongoing in heaven.
We invite all of Ella’s friends to join us to remember and celebrate her life;
Friday January 13, at R.S.Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Gouling, south of Steeles)– Visitation, 6-8pm
Saturday January 14, at Estonian Baptist Church, 883 Broadview Ave. Toronto
Visitation, 10-11am, Memorial Service 11am, burial to follow at York Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, we‘d prefer a donation be made to the charity of your choice... Mom supported the Billy Graham Assoc. for over six decades so that would be close to her heart. Condolences may be made at www.rskane.ca
