Emilia Rizzuto

Passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, December 19th, 2007, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Carmine Rizzuto (1968). Loving mother to Phil, Mary Ann, Michael (Ngaan), Denise, Cathy (John) and Barbara. Dear "Grandma" to Monique, Christopher, Matthew, Deanna and Paul. Mil graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing (1943) as a R.N. and later graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Public Health. Mil worked in the Public Health field prior to her marriage. Later she returned to become the Director of Nursing for Bestview Nursing Homes and then moved on to become the Administrator for Villa Colombo until her retirement. Mil was involved with the Catholic Womans League, Women in Transition, the Theresians and other charities. The Rizzuto Family would like to thank the staff at Baycrest for their compassion and care they gave mother as well as her support workers, Regina and Beulah.

Friends may call on Friday, December 21st, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral mass will be celebrated at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Avenue), on Saturday, December 22nd, 2007 at 11 o'clock.
