Beloved brother of Marie Verity, Ursula Reid, Fr. Wallace Platt, CSB, Donald Platt, Norman Platt and Jeannette Windfeld. Predeceased by his brothers Robert Platt, Hugh Platt and John Platt and his sisters Ruth McGraw and Anne Platt.

Loving uncle to fifty nieces and nephews and their families. A special thank you to Christopher O'Hashem for all the love and care you gave him.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) and on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church (16 Lockwood Road Toronto, ON M4L 3M8, Queen Street East, between Woodbine and Kingston Rd.). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Corpus Christi Church. Interment to follow at St. Augustine's Seminary. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Platt Professorship in Theology Fund at St. Augustine's Seminary (2661 Kingston Road, Toronto, ON M1M 1M3).
