Peacefully surrounded by the love of her daughter and the caring staff at Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit. Loving mother of Hope Burnside and her husband Phil Smith. Doting Granny to Theodore Burnside-Smith. Daughter of the late Thelma and Charlie Dawson. She was loved by many people and made a big difference in people’s lives. She will be sadly missed by David Burnside, Laurel Noble, Cheryl Duckworth and many friends and colleagues. Funeral service will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre would be appreciated.
