Faye Yee

Of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2013 at the age of 75 years.

Faye was born on October 1, 1937 in Taishan, Guangdong, China. In 1952, she immigrated with her mother and her sister to Windsor, Ontario, Canada to be reunited with their husband and father, respectively. After high school, Faye moved to Toronto, and married Lawrence Yee on December 17, 1960 in Windsor.

Faye worked for more than 40 years in the accounting field. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing mah jong. Faye was a long-time member of the Chinese Gospel Church in Toronto.

In addition to her husband, Faye is survived by her sister, Linda Ing; her four children, Sharon (Frank), Deanna (Donald), Lisa (Mike), and Richard (Dawn); and eight grandchildren (Victoria, Christopher, David, Andrew, Samantha, Kristen, Ethan and Matthew).

Faye's family would like to thank Dr. Janey Hsiao and her team at the Odette Cancer Centre, and the B5 ICU staff of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for the care provided.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 10, at 11:00am in the R.S. Kane Chapel, with visitation 1 hour prior.
