Fran Murphy

Died peacefully on July 11, 2015 at the age of 74 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her husband Ron of twenty years, her daughter Susan (Mark Anderson) and her grandaughters Monica and Alana; her son David (Eliza Murphy) and her grandaughter Rhiannon; her brothers Patrick and Bill (Margaret); nieces and nephews Debbie (Todd) Godin, Kelly (Jeff) Jordan, Bill (Teresa) Jordan, Lawrence (Marie) Jordan, Sean (Michelle) Jordan and great nieces and nephews Andrew and Matthew Godin and Christine, Tyler McKissick and Ava Kelly; her cousins from the Ottawa and Toronto area; and her many friends, colleagues and associates. Fran was predeceased by her parents, Eva and Bert Jordan, her first husband Drake Will and beloved sister-in-law Mary Jordan.

Fran attended Holy Cross and St Anselm Schools, Loretto Abbey, St. Michael's College at U of T, and OISE. She was a member of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary and taught at Lorreto Niagara and Loretto Brunswick. Fran worked in administration for the Metropolitan Separate School Board until her retirement in 1995. She was equally proud of her work in prison chaplaincy.

Fran enjoyed travelling with Ron, being a devoted grandmother, spending time with family and friends, summers at the cottage on Georgian Bay, winters in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida and volunteering with the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Gabriel's Parish.
