Frances Joyce Bennett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in her 86th year, after a long and well lived life. Beloved and devoted mother of Lynn Cunnington (Desmond) of Port Colborne and Laurie Caldwell of Thornhill. Loving grandmother of Peter, Alexandra, Lindsay and Lauren and great-grandmother of Kennedy, Jack, Caleb and Katie. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Mildred Kennedy and her brother Neil Kennedy. She will forever be remembered by her family and friends for her gentle good nature, glowing personality and positive energy towards all. Joy was a voracious reader, an extraordinary bridge player, a crossword champion and an excellent cook. The family would like to extend their thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff for their compassion and unwavering support. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Patrick's Anglican Church (1087 Lillian Street, Willowdale) on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hill House Hospice, 36 Wright Street, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4A1
