There is a man we hold close to our hearts, whose parents Guiseppe and Lucia with their six children were believers in Christ. He grew up in Italy where he made a small living as a carpenter, all the while his bride to be of 68 years, Gianna, not having met him yet, would have fond memories interacting with his uncle, who was a priest in the community where they grew up just a short distance away.
After marrying Gianna in 1956, they left the comforts of their surroundings and began a journey to the unknown that would benefit the future generations of his family. He came by boat to a new life in Canada not knowing a word of English with only $100 in his pocket.
He was guided by his heart through perseverance, which shaped him into the great, loving man we all know as ‘Frank’, overcoming many challenging obstacles in his lifetime.
Frank led the construction of many great buildings, supported families from his homeland, overcame language barriers and financial difficulties, was an inspiration to those at the gym, and deeply loved his family and friends.
Frank is generous, humorous, caring and simple; a genius through creativity and innovation.
In his last days in a weakened state, Frank pointed to the sky and asked his son Mark: “Do you really think God is up there?” Mark replied: “Yes I do dad. What do you think?” Frank replied: “I have faith.”
