Franklin Squires

With sorrow our family announces the passing of Dr. Franklin John Squires, physician and surgeon, trained as a surgeon at the Mayo Clinic and formerly practicing at Branson Hospital, where he served as Chief of Staff, after 87 years on March 14, 2004 at North York General Hospital, following a struggle with cancer. Beloved and devoted husband of Jacqueline of 57 years. Loving father to Denis and his wife Jill of St. Catharines, Doug and his wife Kathy of Villanova, Pennsylvania, Bob and his wife Kim of Thunder Bay and Shirley and her husband Richard of North York. Loving grandfather of Corinne, Christine and Paul; Mark and Scott; Nicholas, Sasha, Chloe, David and Danny; Katie, Laura and her husband Chase and Christopher. Friends may visit on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 from 6-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will take place at Blessed Trinity Church, 3220 Bayview Avenue at 10 am on Thursday, March 18, 2004. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated.
