No one every knows what path leads us to that terrible day when so many lives changed forever.  My heartfelt sympathy goes to all who knew and loved Garrett and what he believed in. I too can understand your pain, my husband was a very proud member of the Halifax Regional Police Force who died 3 1/2 months ago at the age of 40. I can tell you your memories are yours forever, your picutres, your video are priceless and put them into a safe. Lean on those who are there to support you, those people will help you through a very difficult time. I find it very comforting to talk constantly to our son who just turned 8 on July 3 about his father and how amazing he was. I keep a journal of everything I can think of. Perhaps we may have met during the Police Memorial in Ottawa if you and your husband attended in September 2009? In time if you wish, I would be willing to talk,email or just listen.
