

Geoffrey McDonald Walton Sr., 74, passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2016, surrounded by family at North York General Hospital, following a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Perish Hill, St. Joseph, Barbados and immigrated to Toronto, Canada.
“Big Geoff” Walton, son of William and Mildred Walton (predeceased), loving husband of Judy Walton (nee Selman) for 46 years. Loving father of Geoffrey Jr (Deborah) and Chantal. Proud grandfather of Xavier. Devoted brother of siblings in Toronto; Margaret, Maureen King (Norman), William, Anthony (Elizabeth), Winston (Patricia) and in Barbados; Marilyn, Jennifer (Floyd), Ferdinand (Regene). Joyful Uncle to Michael (Dolly, Mayumi, Imani), Trevor (Kyle), Natalya (Cory, Aria, Jordyn), Renee (Kyrie), Ruane (Matthew, Liam), Shanna, Jamila, Akil, Nailah, Ramon, Ryan, Dwayne (Trisha, Ciara), Damian, Marita (Cherise, Jarad, Joshua) and Michelle.
Geoffrey worked as a Mechanic at the Hospital for Sick Children for 40 years until his retirement in May 2007, bringing his love and skill of repairing home with him. He loved photography and would be seen with a camera at every family function. Calypso music would play throughout his home while enjoying the company of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Friends and extended family may be received at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles, Toronto) on Friday Oct 21st, from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. for visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct 22nd, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel, with a reception to follow. Cremation will take place prior to the visitation.
