Peacefully, on Monday December 10th, 2007 at the Scarborough Grace Hospital, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Vie J. Davey for over 37 years. Loving father of Christine Banik and her husband George, Alan Davey, Lynda Dinsmore and step-father of Bob Zalitach and his wife Marjorie and Don Zalitach and his wife Debbie. Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. George will be missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 13th, from 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service with Legion Service will be held at the R.S. Kane Chapel on Friday, December 14th, 2007 at 1 o'clock. Private family interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
