George Purdy

PURDY, George Albert-Passed away unexpectedly at 64 at Toronto General Hospital on Sunday, May 25, 2003. Beloved husband of Margaret for over 40 years. Loved and greatly missed father of Mark (Emma), Martina, Grant (Lisa), and Logan. Grandfather of Connor, Cameron, Mikalya, and Ryan. Survived by his sisters Florence, Betty and Edith. He will be sadly missed by many of his friends at the Local 50 (I.U.E.C.), relatives and friends in Ireland and England. Visitation at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday, May 30 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 31 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (21 Simonston Blvd.). 'If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same; if you can fill the unforgiving minute with 60 seconds worth of distance run, yours is the eart and everything that's in it, and which is more - you'll be a man, my son.'-Kipling.
