Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend was promoted for higher service on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011. He lives on in the hearts of his wife Dianne, son Stephen, daughter Patti Doolan (Paul), and grandchildren John, Andrew, and Brooke. George was a considerate and generous man, who always prepared for every eventuality. He had a great sense of humour which he used effectively throughout his 77 years to make us laugh and keep things in perspective. His integrity and love of family, travel, sailing, building model airplanes, and playing the piano defined his life. At George's request there will be no funeral, he will be cremated and interred in a private ceremony. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at The Thornhill Golf and Country Club, 7994 Yonge Street, Thornhill, from 2 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 1st. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
