Georgette Belcourt

(née Labrecque 1922-2013)

It is with great sadness the family of Georgette Belcourt announces her passing on October 27th, in her 92nd year, at Gibson LTC, after a full, rich life. Survived by devoted daughters Jocelyne Salem (Shia), Louise Belcourt and Michèle Lenz (Don); doting Nana to Andrew (Christina), Lisa (Jonathan), Shannon, Erin (Mike), Hilary (Nathan) and Andrea (Dave); cherished great-grandmother to Rachel, Devlin, Isabella, Dominic, Mikaila, Talan and Charlotte. Survived by brother Guy, sister Suzanne, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Roger and brothers Marcel and Claude. Born in Quebec City, and a proud 'Québécoise', Georgette also enjoyed her years in Saskatchewan and Ontario, where she learned English and excelled in Curling and Skiing. She will be fondly remembered for her courage, personality and 'joie de vivre', traits to be emulated by us all. Special thanks to Dr. Rastoggi, and the compassionate staff and residents of Gibson LTC, Georgette's second family.
