I had the pleasure of working with Gerry on many marketing projects.  I was the writer and he was the visual guy who only made my writing better with his avant garde thinking and creativity. So sorry to hear about him leaving us.  But he does leave me with the sweetest memories.

I would like to to relate my friendship with Gerry, it began in the early 60's. We attended Central technical school Gerry in art and I 
 in chemistry, you could tell from the very begging that he had exertional talent.
 Gerry being part of the schools social committee advertised a door price at our next dance . The evening of the dance the winning couple, went on stage to receive their price, they were shocked when Gerry gave them a  DOOR. That was Gerry!!

During the 60,s he had masquerade parties at his studio, a converted garage located somewhere in a park( can't recall the park)  New year party with our champagne bottles in the snow outside the door.
I remember inviting Gerry to a Frank Zappa concert, he wasn't impressed. 
      1970 I invited the 60's gang to a party on a farm , Gerry was part owner. That was the last time I saw Gerry until 2014 or 2015.
I was working in the US and was coming back home to Toronto.
At the 1970 party I had a friend do a five minute super 8 movie film, which I later digitized and wanted to give Gerry a copy.
   I went to see him at his studio and after no seeing him  40+years he still had that same Gentle demeaner, I gave him the cd of the party and met a grown up Jason.

   The last thing he said to me was "you were right about Zappa".
We hugged.

Hello Adele, my name is Carmelita, Ronnie Scian's wife. We had many parties together fifty years ago at my home in Etobicoke.  Ronnie passed away in June 25, 2021. I was lately watching a few videos that I have from those long ago dancing parties and there you were, beautiful, with Jerry, always a pleasure to be together.

My sincere condolences--losing our loved ones is a big adjustment. My heart is with you.

My deepest condolences to Gerry’s family. I had the honor of working with Gerry for many years. He was largely responsible for my success in the fashion industry in Toronto. He was always very generous, gentle, thoughtful and kind, the ultimate gentleman.

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Gerry to us all. I got to know Gerry for many years professionally. As a creative director of my own agency with numerous fashion and design clients, I reached out to Gerry on numerous occasions for his creativity, his thoughts and ideas. His solutions to problem solving were always simple and elegant. His taste was consummate. He always talked in a soft but commanding way - but always preferring that his work did all the talking. 
I simply add my name to the many many who were touched by his talent and style.

I only had the pleasure meeting Gerry the  last few years making wine. We enjoyed his company and the laughs that he brought to the table. 

He was a real encouragement to my oldest son Isaiah, who is an artist and animator, by taking the time to look through his sketchbooks and talk about his art. 

May God’s grace be with you all during this difficult time.

My condolences to the Mamone family on Gerry's passing. He was a thoughtful and considerate person who was both talented and a consummate professional . In addition,  his support of the artistic community in Toronto will certainly 
be missed.

   Rosemarie and I are crushed by Gerry's passing, and very sorry we can't be with you now.  We have so many memories of Gerry, from our first meetings in 1976, when we'd gather at the Bailliol Street house for wine and dinner, to more recent times when Gerry and I could talk as two old men with leukemia. I reminded Gerry recently that we've been good friends for almost fifty years, and he chuckled.

My memories of  Gerry all have to do with beauty and laughter.
Since I first met him and worked with him at Toronto Life Magazine, created the Canadian Fashion Mode with him, and had many, many dinners created by him at his home with friends and family, parties, weekends away, always, fun, lots of laughter (tap dancing, birthday cakes with the name crossed out) and beauty everywhere.  Who knew you could make a delicious pasta dish with whipped cream on top?  Ah... Gerry... one of a kind.  A magic maker.  A shining light in
all our lives.  Your memory will always bring smiles.  
Your family, I know, will miss you terribly, but you leave a legacy
of love and creativity behind.  We are blessed to have known you.
