Suddenly, yet peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016 at his home at the age of 86. Joe was the loving cousin of Elvi and his wife Lise and their children Dante (Astrid), Caroline (Sean) and David. “Uncle Joe” will be sadly missed by Dillon, Luca, Madeline, Michael, Bennett, and Adrienne. Joe loved spending time with his lifelong friends, especially outdoors hunting and fishing. His wonderful demeanor always made Joe the favourite with everyone. Joe worked as a plumbing tradesman his entire life and always took pride in his work. Friends may visit on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
