Giorgio Della Rocca

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2012, surrounded by his family at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre at the age of 71. Cherished husband of Madeline for 48 wonderful years. Loving father of Patrick (Nancy), George (Sarah), Robert (Darlene), and Anna (Shawn). Proud Nonno of Kayla, Daniel, Emma, Lana, Adrienne, William, and his little sweetheart Giorgia. Much loved brother of Maddalena, Costanzo, and Lilliana. Predeceased by his parents Gennaro & Filomena, and his siblings Pasquale, Nannino, Danny, Fausto, and Carmela. Giorgio will be fondly remembered by his family and friends in Canada and Italy as a man of great honour and integrity. His passion for golf, the Azzurri and Juventus was only exceeded by his love of entertaining and cooking for his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Franciscan Church of St. Bonaventure (1300 Leslie Street).
