Passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017 at Milton District Hospital at the age of 77. Predeceased by his beloved wife Donna May (nee Armstrong) and his parents John and Cicely. Melvin, with respect to his late step-father Sandy Smith. Loving step- father to Douglas and Janice Graham and Paul and Lee-Ann Graham. Loved and forever cherished by his step-niece Shaen Armstrong. Dear step-grandfather to Kyle, Cole, Sean and Ryan. Adored by his many step-nieces and nephews. A very special friend to all of the extended Smith family (Andrew and Graeme) across the Pond. A lifetime employee at Bell Canada until he and Donna May both took early retirement together. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the R.S Kane Funeral Home.
