

Suddenly at home on Tuesday January 12th, 2016, Guido passed away in his 76th year after a long university career in Italian Studies. Always devoted to his students, he is survived by his wife Olga, brothers Mario (Marika) and Joe (Rose). Predeceased by his brother Angelo (Mary). He will be remembered by his sisters-in-law Mary (the late Ivano), Velma(the late Duilio), Susan (the late Fred) and his many nieces and nephews: Rose Ann (Sam), Michael (Carmela), Sandra (Frank), Emilio (Etsuko),Nushee (Mark), Christina (Pat), Paola (Domenic), Daniela (fiance Martin),Gerry (Catherine), Elaine (Joe), Arlene (Lody), Steven (Danik), Rochelle (Brad), Sandro (Michelle) and 25 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13 and Thursday January 14 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street at Goulding south of Steeles). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday January 15 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of St. Joseph, Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, west of Bayview).Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A special thank you to Sherluck Robles for his care and companionship during the past year.
