Hanna (Klepacka) Lloyd

Hanna passed peacefully after a short battle with cancer on February 15, 2022, at Scarborough Grace Hospital. She is survived by her husband David Lloyd of almost 50 years, her children Sean Lloyd (Kari) and Tara Smolin (Derek), and her grandchildren Ronan, Lauryn and Willow. She is also survived by her brother Chris Klepacki of Warsaw, Poland. Also, Hanna will be greatly missed by her uncle, Alec Pekala (Anna) of Toronto, who helped Hanna to emigrate from Poland at the age of 18 and get established in Canada. He was like a father to her here, and she was forever grateful for all he and Anna did for her.

Hanna is pre-deceased by her parents Zofia Klepacka and Tadiusz Klepacki of Warsaw, Poland.

Hanna will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to family and loved every moment she spent with them. She will also be remembered for her love of animals – the various dogs, cats and other pets she had over the years, as well as all the “critters” that frequented the backyard – there was always a peanut, or well stocked bird feeder available.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 12th, 11:00am – 2:00pm, at the Kane-Jerrett Thornhill Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill.
