Hazel Thompson Ostranski

Passed away on August 23, 2010 at The Westbury Long Term Care at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Peter (deceased) for 37 years. Loving mother of Kim and Lisa. Cherished mother in law to Mark Addison and Mark Ayles. Devoted grandmother to Nicole, Brett, Peter, and Olivia. Predeceased by her brothers Ross, Ford, and Tony and sister Sadie. Faithful organist for over 20 years at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church as well as St. Edwards and St. Francis of Assisi. Will be respectfully remembered for her lifelong commitment to teaching the love of music. Her generosity of spirit and compassion was truly heartfelt by all that knew her. The Family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Westbury for the loving care and devotion provided to mom for the past 6 years. Friends may call on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 2-4 + 7-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11 am at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church(44 Broadway Avenue). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
