Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Cummer Lodge. Born July 19, 1923 in Cayuga, Ontario. Beloved mother of Suzanne Marie, Daniel Anthony, Janet Claire and Peter Duncan. Grandmother of Josephine, Tova, Cara, Malka and Ely Houpt. Beloved sister of her late brother Harold Stewart and her late sister-in-law Elizabeth, surviving siblings Hugh Nelson Brown, Dr. Alan Fergus Brown, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Anne. A delicate sensitivity, a nurturing and loyal heart, a bright light has gone on to a world without suffering. We will always see you as our tall, slender mother, the beautiful Hallie Brown. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Osteoporosis Society.
