

Reverend Hi-Sup Kim, 85, passed away surrounded by his loving family in his home shared with his wife, Philhi, in Toronto on May 12, 2012. He had battled lung cancer for the past 2 years. He was born February 18, 1927 in Daegu, South Korea, and after obtaining his Doctorate in Theology at the University of Toronto, he spent most his work life in teaching and ministry. He loved reading, playing golf, and time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years and his 4 children, Dohun (Jeong-Min), Hai-Inn, Hai-Jean (Young-Chul), Marie (John), and 10 grandchildren David (Youngju), Jennifer, Danny, Sam, Crystal, Denise, Grace, Paul, Stephen and Brian whom he loved so much.
The family would like to thank all of the friends and family for their prayers and love over Dad's life. We would also like to thank the palliative care team from Mt. Sinai Hospital especially Dr. Albert Kirshen, Ruth Mason, Alan Lam, and Analiza Etcobanez for their care during some of the toughest moments of his battle with cancer.
Dad has requested that any memorial donations be donated to Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation and Credit Valley Hospital Cancer Care Centre in his name.
