I am just reading this with shock and profound sadness in my heart.  I knew Howie when we were teens.  I met him  at school.  I have so many fond memories of Howie.  Whether it was going to the movies (Old "Willow" or another), staying in his so cool fort in the backyard, or riding bikes with Matt and brother,  philosophizing about this and that, or just hanging out, I came to love Howie as a dear friend.  Then, he moved, I moved, and so on.  However, one knows a person made an indelible imprint and left a permanent impression on others like me when so many decades later, someone like still thinks of his dear buddy, Howie, and googles him hoping maybe I may find him and reach out to him again.  That is the forever impression Howie left on me.  My most sincere condolences to his parents and family as well as other friends who thought the world of dear Howie--as I do. I will never forget you, Howie!   May God Bless you and yours.  
 

I am so sorry for your loss. I never met Howie in person, just over the phone and only in January. He was a very talented man. I have been diagnosed with progressive MS and the short time working with Howie gave me the most improvement that I've ever experienced with my condition. He was kind, caring and very knowledgeable. Every week I spoke to him, he gave me a new perspective and something to research and learn about. Sharing in your sadness.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news of Howie's passing, I am in shock, he was way too young to go.



	I ran into Howie several times in the woods, by his house. I would see Timber first and know that Howie was



	not far behind. We would talk for ages, as Howie loved to talk about all kinds of interesting subjects.



	He would keep throwing sticks and big branches to Timber who never tired of chasing them and bringing



	them back to be thrown again. I met Howie, years ago through his friend, Jan.



	He was truly a gifted man with a lot of knowledge who will be missed, till we meet again, your friend, Christine

I am truly heartbroken to hear about Howie. My sincere condolences to the family and wish the family peace and strength during this difficult time. I remember his smile, his kind and caring ways. What an amazing musician. Oh yes and in grade 7 & 8 typing class he was the fastest. Truly leaves a special place in the hearts of those that knew him. Rest in Peace my friend and may God Bless.

Firstly I want to send my deepest condolences to Mrs.Thomason, Sandra and Muftah, Shawn and Alexa. Howie and I were glue, from about ten or so years of age. We did everything together. Play, the fort, cadets, drumming (which is still part of my life) and him, he went on to guitar, banjo. There was not much that Howie could not do when he put his mind to the task. Just one of the reasons why I loved him so much. I want to say so much more, but I just feel crushed with the news..So I'll leave off saying stay strong....all my love Rick.

Our deepest condolences to Howie's family! Although we haven't seen Howie in years, we were all part of a group of friends that would hang out together. Remembering Howie's kindness, gentleness, and that he was a wonderful banjo player! May he R.I.P.

I will be Eternally Grateful to Howie and will certainly miss the Wonderful long conversations and many many hours I was so fortunate to have been in his company and how deeply he touched my Life.
