Born in Daegu, South Korea, Insook lived a life rooted in unwavering faith, devoted service to the church, and deep love for her family. She was strong and resilient. She was a woman of many talents who excelled in almost everything she set her mind to. Insook was an accomplished and beautiful singer who shared her gift through church choirs, community concerts, and joyous sing-alongs around the piano. An avid traveller, she discovered photography later in life, capturing the beauty of nature during her many adventures. She was also an excellent cook, known for sharing delicious meals that brought her family and her many circles of friends together.
Insook is survived by her husband of 62 years, Kyungsoo Chun, and their children: Kathy (Seo-Woon Im), Sara (Angelo Ciufo), Miran (Paul Kedrosky), Helen, and David (Young-Shin Lee). She is cherished by her grandchildren: Matthew, Jordan, Jacob and Michael Im; Christopher, Gabriel, Jonathan and Simon Ciufo; Davis, Bennett and Alina Kedrosky; and Maya and Juno Chun.
All who knew and loved Insook are welcome to attend and share in remembrance of her life.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L4J 1W3.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, Second Visitation at 10:00 a.m. | Service at 11:00 a.m. Milal Church 405 Gordon Baker Road North York, ON M2H 2S6.
