Iordanis Traikos

Peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 30, 2015 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Elpida of 54 years. Loving father of Mary and her husband John Nolis. Sadly missed by his brothers John and Theodoros and their families. Predeceased by his parents Nikolaos and Sofia and his sister Evanthia Totsis. Iordanis was born in Kelli, Florina, Greece where he was a Shepherd before joining the Army. He immigrated to Canada in 1961 and worked extensively in the restaurant industry before joining the staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Always a joker, he was loved and respected by everyone who met him. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 222 Burbank Dr., on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment York Cemetery.
