Passed away peacefully on Thursday May 4, 2006 at York Central Hospital at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Frank, for almost 60 years. Loving mother of Kerry Lee Clarke and her husband Greg, and Steve and his wife Diana. Cherished Grandma of Lindsay, Charles and Jamie. Our world will not be the same without her beautiful smile and wonderful caring way of taking and interest in others. Irene will be lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday May 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), with visitaion one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
