Ivy Ursula Williams

Ivy Ursula Williams passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 24, 2020, her 92nd birthday, at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre. She is survived by her children, Annette Williams (Ruthvin Mottley), Ansil Williams, Godfrey Williams and Claudette Rawlinson (Winfield Rawlinson), her grandchildren Shamille McCarthy, Jameel Rawlinson, Aaron Williams, Danielle Rawlinson, Marcus Rawlinson, Ajay Williams, Alisia Williams and Austin Williams, and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Pearl, Barbara, Flora, Linda, Monica and Arthur.

Ivy will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to family and loved every moment she spent with them. She will be remembered for her commitment to her church, her spirited personality, an ability to make every moment with her a joyful one full of laughter and her love for the Toronto Raptors.

The family would like to express deep thanks to the staff both at Eatonville Care Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre for their compassionate care.

Friends may visit with the family at St. Theodore of Canterbury Church, 111 Cactus Ave., North York on Tuesday September 29, 2020 from 10 – 11 am. The funeral service will be held in the church sanctuary beginning at 11 am. Cremation will follow.

Due to the current state of emergency concerning the COVID-19 Pandemic, guests for visitation and the service will be limited. During the hour of visitation, please be prepared to wait outside for your turn to greet the family, and please keep your condolences to a minimum allowing others to do the same. Please come prepared to wait outside. The weather is promising the possibility of showers.
