James Hudson Clarke

Born April 12, 1919, Jim passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 24, 2009 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, after a brief illness. Beloved and devoted husband of 52 years to Shirley Evans. Treasured father of Paul (Linda Ryan) and Judy. Proud and adoring grandfather of Kyle James ("K.J."), Leigha, Ian, and Shannon. They were the "apples of his eye". Predeceased by his irreplaceable twin brother, Bill, in 2003 and his admired and loving older twin brothers, Sam and Bob. He leaves behind many adoring nieces and nephews as well as many close friends.

Flight Lieutenant RCAF (Ret.) stationed at No. 12 Squadron Bomber Command RAF Wickenby, Lincolnshire, England. He was shot down over Nuremberg Germany on his 26th mission on March 16, 1945, and taken as prisoner of war.

A family memorial service will be held on Thursday October 29, at 1PM. Interment to follow at a later date in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prostate Cancer Canada, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
