James Arthur Keenan

On May 21, 2014, he joined his beloved wife, Rose, in heaven. Devoted and cherished father of Douglas, Colleen, Maureen, and Robert. Good friend and dear father-in-law of Alan Stubbs, John Moore, and Yvette Keenan. He was the adoring, and much adored, Grandpa Jim to little Rose and Mary.

Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret (nee Fitzgerald) and by his brothers, William, Donald, and Bruce. He will be greatly missed by his loving siblings, Harry (and Pam), Jane Gillis (and Neil), and Paul (and Audrey), and by his sisters-in-law, Glenna Keenan and Bonnie Keenan. He also leaves 47 nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.

Dad will be remembered for his kindness, gentleness, quick mind, amazing memory, and constancy and stability - a reassuring and always loving presence in the lives of his family.

Visitation will take place at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, south of Steeles) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 25th, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church (39 Green Lane, Thornhill) at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 26th, 2014. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.
