James Harry Stephenson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jim on Friday, June 18, 2010 in Thornhill after a brief illness. Predeceased by his beloved wife Donna. Loving father of John (Erin), Eric (Lynn) and Ann (Dave). Proud grandfather of Katie, Claire, Emily, Alexandra, Nicole, Victoria and Mark. Devoted son-in-law of Violet Bond. Jim was born and raised in Willowdale, the third child in a family of six children. He built a successful contracting business, W.A. Stephenson Construction, with his brother David (predeceased). Jim was an avid golfer and great friend to everyone. He was a true gentleman who was always patient, kind and considerate. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Friends may call on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Transplant Unit - Toronto General Hospital or Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of Canada.
