James Campbell Wood

James Wood passed peacefully with family by his side after a long battle with cancer on July 12, 2025, at Hawthorne Place Care Centre in Toronto, at the age of 70. He is survived by his children: Shannon, James, Geoffrey, and Bonnie (Eugene), as well as his granddaughter, Giulietta and his brother, Colin.

James has gone to rest with his parents, Isabella and John, and his siblings, Herbert, Sheila, and Patricia. He is also remembered with respect by Margaret, the mother of James, Geoffrey and Bonnie, with whom they remained connected through their shared love and care for their family.

James cherished the memories he made with his children on summer camping trips, where he shared his love of the outdoors and taught them to appreciate the simple joys of being together. Jim enjoyed music and dancing and was an accomplished cook. He took great pride as a pressman during his many years in the printing industry.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hawthorne Place Care Centre for their compassionate care.

The family will hold a private memorial for James at a later date.
