We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jane “Jo” Pollock (nee Kings) in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife of the late Alan Pollock. Mother to Stephen (Jill) and Sandra (the late Lorne). Grandmother of Jill, Erica, Cheryl and Elyse.
Jo worked as a secretary for a great many years at St. Aloysius School in Toronto where she made many friends, most notably Anne Leckie in particular. Running the school was her job but her real strengths were in her abilities to listen to children, offer a kind word, apply a bandage to a scraped knee or elbow and give comfort or advice to anyone in need.
Jo had great love and affection for her sister and many brothers, friends and colleagues.
Strictly out of love and respect for the health and safety of all concerned, a private service will be held for the immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
